A Cure for Spring Fever?
March 20th is the official first day of spring. Already, the weather is getting warmer, and the call of the outdoors is beckoning. It's time to start planning our spring and summer excursions. It's spring fever, and I have it, I can't wait to get outside and enjoy the warm weather. As a matter of fact, I'm writing this blog post from my hammock. Of course, those of us on the Ghana Project will be heading to Africa to get our adventure on (and help the children of the Tamale Children's Home at the same time). But the rest of us have the whole spring and summer stretched out before us.
I know the perfect way to get ready for Spring. The weekend of March 19th and 20th, Black Creek Outfitters has agreed to donate a percentage of their sales to support the Ghana Project. Black Creek Outfitters carries everything you might need for any type of outdoor excursion from kayaking, and hiking, to climbing and skiing, and everything in between. Also, Black Creek Guides offers professional instruction in kayaking, stand up paddlesport, guided eco-historical tours, kayak fishing charters, and basic rock climbing. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and get you set up straight for whatever adventure you want to tackle.
All you have to do to support the project is show up and go shopping. And get ready for a little bit of adventure of your own.
So don't forget:
